The first thing to note is that you’re going to be sore and bruised in the areas where fat was harvested, as well as in the buttocks. Over the first 24 to 48 hours, you may experience some drainage from the liposuction sites, and that may include blood-tinged fluid. This is normal.

You won’t be able to sit directly on your buttocks, at least for the first two weeks. After that, you should use a BBL pillow when sitting.

It’s also important to use a compression garment, which is usually recommended for six to eight weeks to help with swelling and shape your results.

Generally, after a BBL, you’re going to be quite sore for the first one to two weeks, but overall recovery should be complete by around four to six weeks.
